  I’ve never felt the need to leave a bad review for a business before, and wish things had played out differently so I did not feel compelled to leave one now. I contacted RM in early June to do some painting in an apartment that I own, but had moved out of several months prior. The gentleman I spoke with seemed like a good guy, I didn’t bother to call around for prices and ignored the negative review on google. First decision I regret.
  I was quoted what I felt was a reasonable price to paint several rooms. RM was also going to repair damage in a ceiling, and paint the kitchen ceiling. When I spoke with him in early June I explained I was in no rush and he could fit it into his schedule as needed so he would have time to work on his outdoor jobs in nice weather. Shortly after talking to RM I was asked to rent to a family friend for a few months while they were in between homes. Wanting to help out a friend, I contacted RM and was informed they’d be able to finish the job in time, I greatly appreciated this.
  While on vacation with my family I received a call saying that they had completed the job and would like to meet for payment. At this point I became concerned that they finished in 2 days.
  When I arrived to inspect the job I found the following:
  -Walls unprepped
  -Dust on walls painted over
  -Spackle unsanded prior to paint
  -Spots where previous color showed
  -Our recently painted blue kitchen had been mistakenly painted gray
  I began to place painters tape in each spot I found a problem, but soon realized that every time I stood still I found several issues.
  Unfortunately,the owner's wife who came to collect payment so I was unable to speak directly to the owner. She stated I was being too particular for a rental unit and seemed offended that I was refusing to pay until the job was fixed. Later I received a call from the owner with a strikingly different tone than the conversation we had when he came to quote the work. He became unprofessional, made many comments about the apartment being gross, and a dump (it is not). I was told the quote he gave me was for his “B” level job, not the Taj Mahal. Had I been aware these were options I would have been interested in a quote on quality work. The owner agreed to come back and address my concerns. I appreciated this gesture, which is the reason I will give them a second star.
  RM came back and spent half of a day painting with a crew. I made plans once again to meet with the owner and exchange payment. Upon arrival I found they had addressed many of my concerns. However, the overall job was still below acceptable.. I did not ask them to repaint the room they incorrectly painted, but was informed that the Blue we liked was “tacky” and the Gray they chose was “modern”.
  Feeling under the gun to get the apartment ready for tenants who desperately needed a place to move in I grudgingly paid the balance. Second decision I regret.
  I’m left with:
  -Walls that need to be prepped correctly and repainted.
  -Antique door hardware I removed and refinished by hand has been painted over.
  -Multiple doors painted shut and unable to open
  -Radiators that need to be painted correctly
  -Switch plate covers needing to be replaced because RM did not remove them prior to painting. -A brand new stove my wife spent 45 minutes cleaning paint splatters off of.
  -A dishwasher found with a few inches of paint and water in the bottom that may be ruined.The crew seems to have used our kitchen sink/counters to dispose of their paint.
  Multiple neighbors have contacted me to let me know that while work was being done they could hear yelling and swearing coming from the worksite. Several people have shared with me similar stories about their experiences, so I felt the need to place an in depth review sharing my dealings. RM has been increasingly unprofessional throughout the process. They've attacked my family and myself, made accusations about the home and have excuses for each complaint. I will not be using RM painting again.
